Mars

The closest neighbouring planet to Earth, in 2019 the first manned flight to the red planet occured. In 2026 the first permanent reserarch station was set up, called Reconnaissance IV. By 2048 the first Martian colony, New Chrysee was founded. This then lead to the creation of four more colonies, which all occured in the period 2064-2091. These were called Liaisville, Dao City, Vermillion and Nova Perm, and soon grew to a large population due to an exodus of Earth citizens during the emigration wave of the 2080's.

These five large colonies were supported both financially and logistically by competing mining and trading companies, in 2098 each colony begins to fight for power over the governmental seat of New Crysee, leading to the first colony war in 2106.
